The 26th annual Fleet Empire State Building Run-Up race took place on Tuesday, February 4th, 2003 with over 100 participants this year.
The overall male winner was Paul Crake, 26, of Australia with a new record winning time of 9 minutes and 33 seconds. This marked Paul's fifth consecutive men's title and new record time by breaking his former record of 9 minutes and 37 seconds.
Cindy Moll, 34, of Indiana took the women's title with a winning time of 13 minutes and 6 seconds. This was Cindy's fourth title in the past 6 years of this event, edging out last year's winner Kerstin Harbich of Germany by 11 seconds.
