EMPIRE STATE BUILDING REVEALS RESULTS OF NY PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY WITH WORLD-FAMOUS TOWER LIGHTS
The Empire State Building and CNN will join forces on Tuesday, April 19, to display to millions of New Yorkers and the network’s viewers in the United States and around the world the results of the 2016 New York Presidential Primary.
The lighting will be featured on CNN’s live broadcast with Jake Tapper and Dana Bash as they report on the results of the Primary starting at 8:00 PM EST.
First, the world-famous tower lights will illuminate in each candidate’s color for 10 seconds each during an explanatory segment on the top of the 8:00 PM EST hour:
Hillary Clinton – Dark Blue
Bernie Sanders – Light Blue
Ted Cruz – Coral
John Kasich - Purple
Donald Trump – Dark Red
Following the results of the Primary being called around 9:00 PM EST, the tower will shine for each party’s winning candidate for 1 minute, then in split lights to celebrate both winners until 2:00 AM.
