ESB Shines to Honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month

On Oct. 1, the Empire State Building will shine pink with a pink breast cancer ribbon in the mast to honor The Estée Lauder Companies' Breast Cancer Campaign and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Empire State Building hosted a lighting ceremony to honor the occasion. Actress and global ambassador Elizabeth Hurley, Estée Lauder Companies Executive Chairman William Lauder, Co-founder and Creative Director of The Bar and breast cancer advocate Bridget Bahl, actress and breast cancer advocate Miranda McKeon, and television personality and breast cancer advocate Katie Thurston flipped the famous switch. After the ceremony, the special guests toured the museum exhibits and 86th & 102nd Floor Observation Decks, voted the number one top attraction in Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Awards: Best of the Best Things to Do.

The Estée Lauder Companies' Breast Cancer Campaign is a cornerstone of the company’s social investments in women’s health, and the cause continues each year to inspire purpose-driven action.
