May Hong, Arden Cho, and REI AMI

The Empire State Building will welcome “KPOP DEMON HUNTERS” stars Arden Cho, May Hong, and singer REI AMI for a lighting ceremony and tour of the Observatory to kick off “KPOP DEMON HUNTERS” Golden Weekend, along with limited time singalong screenings of the film, in partnership with Netflix and the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE) USA.

That evening, at 9 p.m., the Empire State Building will debut a Music-to-Light Spectacular, which will feature the building’s thousands of LEDs synched to the film’s hit song, “Golden.” Fans in New York City can tune in to iHeart Radio’s Z100 to listen to the song along with the lights. After the show, the building will be lit in gold for the rest of the evening.

“KPOP DEMON HUNTERS” follows global K-pop supergroup Huntr/x – that features voice acting by Cho and Hong and vocals by REI AMI – as they balance their public personas with their secret mission to protect humanity from demon forces. The film has been praised for its unique blend of Korean mythology, K-pop culture, and vibrant animation inspired by anime and concert visuals. “KPOP DEMON HUNTERS” is currently the most-watched Netflix animated original film of all time.
