Our holiday celebrations run from Nov. 6 through the end of December, with special events that continue through Jan. 4. 

2. Are holiday events at the Empire State Building suitable for all ages?

Yes! Our holiday celebrations are designed for families, friends, tourists, and locals of all ages. From movie nights to Santa visits, there's something magical for everyone. 

3. Can I visit the Observatory without attending a special event?

Absolutely! General admission tickets to the 86th Floor and 102nd Floor Observatories are available year-round. Our holiday décor and activations are included with every ticket.

Santa visits on select days and times throughout the holiday season:

The Empire State Building features spectacular seasonal displays throughout the Observatory, which includes festive installations, twinkling lights, and interactive holiday activations. 

2. Are the holiday pop-ups included with general admission?

Yes! Holiday décor and pop-up experiences are included with your Observatory admission ticket at no additional cost. 

3. What will the holiday pop-ups at ESB offer?

Our pop-ups with Doughnuttery and Ess-a-Bagel will feature fun holiday-themed refreshments and snacks. Guests can also purchase the retailers’ most popular items to enjoy alongside the incredible views from our observation decks.  

4. Are the holiday decorations visible from outside the building?

Yes! The Empire State Building will feature holiday lighting displays visible from the outside on street level. 

5. Are there any special photo spots or backdrops for holiday pictures?

Absolutely! Throughout the building, there are plenty of photo spots and backdrops designed to capture the magic of the season. These include festive installations and interactive displays to create unforgettable holiday memories.
