Sheamus at the Construction exhibit

The Empire State Building Observatory hosted WWE star, actor, and entertainer Sheamus for a photo opportunity during his visit to New York City.

Nicknamed "The Celtic Warrior," Sheamus is celebrated for his brawling style and his signature move, the Brogue Kick. Throughout his career, he has won multiple championships which include the WWE Championship, United States Championship, and Tag Team Titles. He is also a Royal Rumble winner and a King of the Ring tournament victor, which solidified his legacy as one of WWE's top competitors. 


Wednesday, Sept. 10

Russell Westbrook

NBA star and fashion icon Russell Westbrook will visit the Empire State Building Observatory to kick off New York Fashion Week with a lighting ceremony, in partnership with N4XT Experiences.

Currently point guard for the Denver Nuggets, Westbrook’s illustrious career has spanned decades. His career highlights include his place as NBA's Most Valuable Player in 2017 and his all-time record for the most triple-doubles in league history.

Beyond the basketball court, Westbrook has established himself as a global fashion icon. He is widely recognized for his bold pre-game outfits, which often challenge conventional style norms and set new trends. His influence extends beyond personal expression into business and design with his own fashion line, Honor The Gift. Through collaborations with major brands and his distinctive presence at fashion weeks worldwide, Westbrook has solidified his reputation not just as an elite athlete, but as a genuine and influential figure in the fashion industry. 


Friday, Sept. 12

Adekunle Gold

Adekunle Gold will visit the Empire State Building Observatory for a photo opportunity to celebrate his new single, “Bobo,’ ahead of the release of his sixth studio album, “FUJI.”  

Gold is a celebrated singer and songwriter known for his distinctive fusion of highlife, Afropop, and contemporary R&B. He first gained widespread recognition with his heartfelt vocals and storytelling, which captured the attention of audiences with his breakout single "Sade." His music is often characterized by its smooth melodies, rich instrumentation, and deeply personal lyrics that explore themes of love, life, and identity.
