The 2026 WNBA Draftees Light ESB Orange

Dreams come true tonight.

On Monday, April 13, the Empire State Building shined its world-famous tower lights in orange to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the WNBA and the 2026 WNBA Draft presented by State Street Investment Management SPY.

Earlier in the day, the Empire State Building hosted a lighting ceremony with WNBA Commissioner Kathy Engelbert, UCLA center Lauren Betts, LSU guard Flau’jae Johnson, TCU guard Olivia Miles, Connecticut guard Azzi Fudd, Spain National Team center Awa Fam Thiam, UCLA guard Kiki Rice, South Carolina guard Raven Johnson, South Carolina guard Ta’Niya Latson, Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration forward Nell Angloma, UCLA forward Angela Dugalić, UCLA guard Gabriela Jaquez, UCLA guard Gianna Kneepkens, Ole Miss forward Cotie McMahon, South Carolina center Madina Okot, and TCU forward Marta Suárez who flipped the famous switch.

After the ceremony, the 15 top prospects toured the Observatory Experience – which was named the #1 Top Attraction in New York City for the fourth consecutive year in Tripadvisor’s 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Things to Do – and posed for photos on the building’s 86th Floor and 102nd Floor Observatories.

The WNBA is the longest standing female sports league in U.S. history, and home to the world’s best talent in women’s basketball.
