On Oct. 1, the Empire State Building shined its world-famous tower lights in pink with a scrolling ribbon in the mast to honor the Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Earlier in the day, ESB hosted a lighting ceremony with actress and global ambassador of the Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, Elizabeth Hurley, Executive Chairman of the Estée Lauder Companies Inc., William P. Lauder, and breast cancer advocate and survivor Olivia Munn, who flipped the famous light switch. The ceremony also featured the hosts of the "SHE MD Podcast," Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi (“Dr. A”) OB/GYN and breast cancer survivor, and Mary Alice Haney, entrepreneur and women’s health advocate.
The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign is the cornerstone of the company's social investments in women's health, and the cause continues each year to inspire purpose-driven action. Today, the campaign supports more than 60 organizations around the world which facilitate real change aligned with the diverse needs of local communities. The campaign's millions of dollars in funding supports education, research, and medical access to help create a breast-cancer free world.
